Congratulations to the Newly Tenured and Promoted!

The IWU Board of Trustees recently approved tenure and promotions for nine faculty, including Ames’ own Meg Miner, University Archivist & Special Collections Librarian, and Chris Sweet, Information Literacy Librarian!  Congratulations to Meg and Chris and to our faculty colleagues on this momentous achievement!

ProQuest downtime for system enhancements

On February 15, 2014 ProQuest will make improvements to its internal systems to accommodate a growing number of users and to reduce the need for future downtime. This is scheduled for Saturday, February 15 at 10:00 p.m. for 8 hours.

Thanks to the Counseling Center, the library has Sun Box lamps to assist with SAD.  One is installed on the 3rd floor west living room; another will soon be installed on the 4th floor east living room. Usually 20-30 minutes with the Sun Box will boost energy and improve your mood. Detailed information regarding the use of the Sun Box is posted by each lamp.
