Project: Community Impact Measurement Survey
Binder #: 161
Major: Business Administration
Passion: Neighborhood Revitalization
Organization: Mid Central Community Action, State Farm
Executive Summary: I worked at State Farm in the Life, Health and Mutual Funds department. In the community, I worked at Mid Central Community Action. My main project at State Farm was to reformat an internal database called State Farm Answers. SFA is a website full of articles that the call center uses daily to ensure consistency with company policy. The reformat is expected to result in increased efficiency with each call. At MCCA, my job was to spearhead the Community Impact Measurement Survey, which is required for all Neighborworks organizations. Change day-to-day is hard to see, so the goal of CIMS (completed every 3 years) is to quantify the effect of MCCA’s housing security and neighborhood improvement work. CIMS audits the effectiveness of MCCA’s past work and helps guide it in the future.
