1. Childcare-School Break Days Volunteer:
Work with Y-Pals staff to ensure safety and security of children in program
Assist Y-Pals staff in leading games, activities and crafts
Assist Y-Pals staff in communicating with parents regarding behavior and accomplishments of children in the program
Assist in supervising children’s behavior while swimming
Unit 5 scheduled days off, excluding major holidays, from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Availability can be flexible within these hours
Must be a minimum of 16 years old
CPR & First Aid preferred
Experience with children preferred
2. Young Member’s Caring Area Volunteer:
Work with staff to ensure safety and security of children in the childcare room
Assist staff in leading games, activities and crafts
Assist Y-Pals staff in communicating with parents
Work with children to develop values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
Monday through Friday 4:00 – 8:00pm.
Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Availability can be flexible within these hours
Must be a minimum of 16 years old
CPR & First Aid preferred
Experience with cildren preferred
3. Y-Pals Volunteer:
Work with Y-Pals staff to ensure safety and security of children in program
Assist Y-Pals staff in leading games, activities, crafts and other before and after school functions
Assist Y-Pals staff in communicating with parents regarding behavior and accomplishments of children in the program
Help children whith their homework questions and problems
Monday through Friday 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. & 2:00 or 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Availability can be flexible within these hours
Work would be at one of our afterschool sites:
-Brigham Elementary
-Olympia North (Danvers)
-Olympia West (Minier)
-St. Mary’s Catholic School
-Towanda Elementary
Must be a minimum of 16 years old
CPR & First Aid preferred
Experience with children preferred
