Bent Elementary School serves bilingual Spanish-English speaking students, and is looking for a way to better connect with the Spanish speaking parents. We are looking for volunteers that are bilingual that want to help with this process. It could be a great learning experience for an IWU student involving verbal translation at PTO meetings or helping develop written communication that will be helpful for the parents. This would require approximately 2 hours per month of volunteer work (attending a meeting with PTO members for example) in the evening and maybe a few more hours of working independently on written communication.
Bent school is located about 2 blocks to the west of Main Street. It is within walking distance to IWU.
