Executive Summary: During the Community Partnership Program, I was placed in the IT/Systems Department at State Farm and my non-profit was Mid Central Community Action (MCCA). Throughout the internship at State Farm, I was tasked with assessing and reviewing risks associated with mobile and internet applications. For MCCA, I reviewed a working document that addressed the risks associated with non-profits and conducted research that examined the community’s needs and if they were being satisfied. The grant that I submitted addressed a combination of financial literacy and the availability of food. The grant suggested a program that would assist people in becoming more financially literate while adjusting their budget to always include food so their family does not go hungry.
