Matthew Harman ’04 recently obtained a new credential as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Illinois. He provides individual and family therapy at a community mental health center and at a private practice, both in the Chicagoland area. Congratulations Matthew!

John Curtis ’04

John Curtis ’04 and his wife, Katie Pape, recently worked to create a children’s book called, Welcome Home, Margot Flamingo. They worked alongside two other partners to create this book that according to John, “is a delightful story that teaches children about the importance of understanding and connecting with their canine companions. We aim to inspire young readers to become responsible and compassionate dog lovers through engaging illustrations and captivating storytelling.” This book is available to buy on Amazon. Abby Reel ’04

Abby Reel ’04 recently spoke to The Pantagraph about The Barn III, which she has worked hard to restore. Reel told The Pantagraph that she’s been honored by the ability to help write the next chapter in the barn’s story. “It’s been a labor of love,” she said. Gwydhar Gebien ’04

Gwydhar Gebien ’04 has published the second book in her Enfant Terrible series. Enfant Terrible: Headliner continues the story of Damen Warner, the washed-up front man for the metalcore band OBNXS, who is determined to do whatever it takes to wrench his career out of obscurity. In an effort to claw his way back to stardom, he teams up with a well-connected but underhanded investor to produce a new album, and his life quickly spirals into a widening gyre of depravity and mayhem. But when he is unexpectedly cast in the role of a father figure to his girlfriend’s five-year-old daughter, he finds himself torn between fame and fatherhood as he continues his odyssey of self-destruction down the path of good intentions and bad behavior. The third and final book in the series, Enfant Terrible: Showstopper, will be released in June 2023.

Laura (Cavallari) O’Connor ’04

Laura (Cavallari) O’Connor ’04 is a fiber artist whose current show will be on display at the Blue Moon Gallery in Grayslake, Illinois from October 22nd to December 18th. Byron W. Lubenkov ’04 recently married Sarah Gillaspey in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 20th, 2022. They currently live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
