Bethany (Kesselring) Wasik ’04

Bethany (Kesselring) Wasik ’04 was promoted to Assistant Editorial Director at Cornell University Press in October. In this new role, Bethany takes the lead within the acquisitions department of managing the seasonal publication lists, facilitates the annual subject area and book list reviews, and compiles and reviews data about the books. While doing so, Bethany will continue to acquire book titles in military history, the classics and archaeology, and modern European history. Congratulations Bethany!

Meredith (White) Winkelhake ’04

Meredith (White) Winkelhake ’04 graduated from Concordia University-WI in December of 2022 with her MSN, and became a board-certified Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She now works as a GI Oncology NP in the outpatient Cancer Clinics at UW Health, where she has worked in various roles as an oncology RN since 2006. Congratulations Meredith!

Joe Binder ’04

Joe Binder ’04 recently received the Carl Dahlquist Award from the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council for his paper, “Designed Polymer Particle Architectures for Waterborne Acrylic Pressure Sensitive Adhesives.” You can read more about the award here. Congratulations, Joe!

Megan Presnak ’04

Megan Presnak ’04 participated in a Careers in Technology Panel with the Hart Career Center at Illinois Wesleyan University on February 24, 2021. Moderated by Andrew Shallue, Associate Professor of Computer Science, Megan and other alumni discussed careers in technology, software development, consulting, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cyber security with IWU students.

Megan is a Business Information Security Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield (cyber security) in Dallas.

New Role for Kristin Schleiter ’04

Kristin Schleiter, JD, LLM, has taken a position with the American Board of Medical Specialties as the Vice President of Policy, Government Relations and Strategic Engagement. Kristin will play a key role in providing strategic and operational oversight for ABMS policy development and advocacy initiatives and will lead strategic engagement with governmental, professional and health care organizations, as well as other public stakeholders of specialty certification to strengthen and increase the value of ABMS specialty board certification. Kristin worked in Advocacy for the American Medical Association prior to her role at ABMS.
