Freeman Asia Poster Presentations

The Freeman Asia Internship Program provides support for IWU sophomore and junior students to complete a funded internship in at sites across Asia, including sites in Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and the Phillipines. In 2019, 36 students in majors such as Finance, Art, Computer Science, English, and Biology completed internships in organizations such as Mission for Migrant Workers (Hong Kong), Shiro Oni Studio (Japan), and the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (Phillipines).

2019 Freeman Asia interns will discuss their experiences abroad in a poster session open to campus on September 24th from 4:00 – 5:30 pm in the Joslin Atrium. Freeman Asia program leaders, including Teddy O. Amoloza (Sociology), will be available to answer questions about the program and the 2019-20 application cycle.

The Center for Engaged Learning works with partners in the Hart Career Center and the International Office to promote opportunities for students to participate in signature experiences that have a high impact on the undergraduate experience, including internships and study abroad.
