Gerald Lee ’97
Professor of Piano at West Liberty University Gerald Lee ’97 will serve as a judge at the 69th annual Young Musicians Audition for 2022, in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Corey Schieler Named Volunteer of the Year by Make-A-Wish Illinois
Corey Schieler ‘97, a director of venture capital investments at State Farm, was named the Make-A-Wish Illinois Volunteer of the Year for 2021. He previously received Make-A-Wish Illinois’ Exceptional Creativity Award, for “bringing exceptional creativity to boost wish children’s spirits,” in April 2021.
Corey has been a wish granter since 2011 and has helped grant over 30 wishes for kids fighting critical illness.
He has received many accolades for his work, including a story on WGLT, and State Farm, Corey’s employer, created a video about his work with Make-A-Wish: Not 3 Wishes, 30 and Counting!

Internationally acclaimed soprano Kirsten (Arnold) Chambers ’97 performed on September 23rd and 25th “A Life Made in Music: The Love Story of Kirsten and Keith Chambers,” conducted by her husband, at the Yucca Theatre in Midland, Texas.
Elisa (Siegert) Egan Promoted
Elisa (Siegert) Egan ’97 was promoted to the Senior Product Development Manager, North America, for Mars Wrigley, responsible for Gum, Mints, and Fruity Snacks – including, but limited to, the brands of Extra, Orbit, Doublemint, Altoids, Hubba Bubba, Skittles, Starburst, and LifeSavers.

Justin Zamirowski Named CCO
Justin Zamirowski was named chief commercial officer at Better Therapeutics, a San Francisco-based prescription digital therapeutics company, where he will commercialize its portfolio of prescription digital therapeutics products.

Bruce Clark, ’97, Paints George Floyd Mural in Bloomington
Bruce Clark ’97, unveiled a mural he painted featuring an image of George Floyd. Yovana Milosevic ’21 wrote a poem in honor of the occasion. The two unveiled the mural in October at the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal. The initiative was part of the West Bloomington Revitalization Project.
The mural is called “Hold Onto Each Other.”

Virtual Gala Organizers include 2 IWU alumni
Jennifer Gill, ’97, and fellow alumnus Cliff Nellis, ’97 started the Young Professionals’ Council at Lawndale Christian Legal Center in Chicago. Cliff is the executive director Jennifer volunteers with the organization.
