Ensembles

Tuba Euphonium Ensemble

The Tuba Euphonium Ensemble provides the opportunity for any player of either instrument (regardless of their major) to rehearse, perform, and most importantly eat wings with their fellow tuba/euphonium players. This is a low pressure ensemble as it is geared towards players of all levels. The repertoire for this ensemble ranges significantly from compositions composed originally for a Tuba Euphonium ensemble to transcriptions of orchestral and band pieces.

Tuba Euphonium Quartets

The Tuba Euphonium quartets offer the chance for players to develop their chamber music skills while being challenged with difficult music. In these ensembles, each player has a different part which increases the importance of each line. These are the perfect way to hone one’s skill while maintaining a fun yet focused atmosphere.

Illinois Wesleyan Titan Band

All tuba and euphonium players are strongly encouraged to join the Illinois Wesleyan Titan Band. This is the pep band for all home football and basketball games. In addition to being wildly fun and a fantastic way to meet other like-minded music lovers, the tuba and euphonium sections are the only in which every member is paid to play. You can learn more about the band here.
