Andy ’89 and Robyn Jones Honored for Dedication to Ridgeview Basketball Program

The Ridgeview junior high gymnasium has been named “Coach Jones’ Court” in honor of Andy ’89 and Robyn Jones’ dedication and service to the school and its basketball programs. The couple have nearly 60 years of coaching experience between them.

Vijeta Pamudurthy ’10 Makes Strides in GI Patient Care

The American Gastroenterological Association recognized the research of Vijeta Pamudurthy ’10 in their August 2020 issue of Gastroenterology. She is one of twenty-five fellows making huge strides in GI patient care. Viji works as a D.O. at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Qinfan Jiang ’12 Awarded by the American Musicological Society

Qinfan Jiang ’12 was awarded the most prestigious Ph.D. dissertation award in musicology by the American Musicological Society, an Alvin H. Johnson AMS 50 Fellowship for “Toward a Global Enlightenment: Music, Missionaries, and the Construction of a Universal History in Seventeenth- and Eighteenth-Century China and Europe.”

She graduated from IWU in 2012 and went on to earn a Master’s in Music from Rice University. She is currently pursuing her PhD (also in Musicology) from Columbia University.
