Carmin Beck ’14 and Kurt Van Ness ’13
Carmin Beck ’14 and Kurt Van Ness ’13 were married in July of 2022 in Covert, Michigan surrounded by family and friends. They began dating during Carmin’s first semester at IWU, and both competed in cross country and track and field for all four years.
Maddie Daly-Leterman ’14
Maddie Daly-Leterman ’14 passed away on May 17, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Julius Leterman and the much loved daughter of Daniel and Julie Daly. Madeline grew up in Naperville, IL and graduated from Neuqua Valley High School in 2010. She went on to Illinois Wesleyan University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received a Masters in Psychology and Ed.S from Ball State. After completion of her education Maddie worked as a school psychologist in Chicago. You can read the full obituary here.

Shelby Kottemann ’14 recently published her first book, Evolution of a Soul, with Willow Tree Press. The story follows Allie, “a young lady with a big and open heart.” The book is available on Amazon and will soon be sold through Barnes & Noble.
