Dr. Katie Rothas ’14

Dr. Katie Rothas ’14 recently spoke at the Albany City Hall as the Dental Director of Whitney Young Health. There she spoke for the most at risk members in the city of Albany, advocating for community water fluoridation; a first step in helping to reduce the presence and severity of tooth decay while we work on addressing more complex problems such as access to healthy food, health literacy, and diminishing access to dental services. “I’m proud to say that my voice, my evidence-based dental training, my public health education helped to make history in the city of Albany tonight alongside the efforts of countless others in the healthcare community locally, nationally and globally.”
