Congratulations on the new job and welcome back to IWU!
Recently, IWU alumna Keri Leach was featured in Peoria Journal Star‘s “Where are They Now?” column.
Leach was named the CCIW player of the year her senior year, after playing for Illinois Wesleyan softball for her final two seasons. Previously, Leach had played for Olympia High School in Stanford, Ill.
Currently working as a teacher’s aide at Olympia Middle School, Leach is also studying towards a master’s degree in education at Illinois State University.
In the interview with Peoria Journal Star, Leach said, “Playing for Wesleyan gave me the opportunity to succeed not only in softball, but in life as well.”
“I found myself able to work a part-time job, have a social life, thrive in the classroom and do well in softball,” Leach said.
Hello Class of 2014!
My name is Amelia Smith. I wanted to introduce myself because I am newly in charge of updating the Class of 2014 newsletter. If there is any news you would like to share with your classmates, from achievements to marriages, I’d be happy to add it to the newsletter. I can be reached through my IWU e-mail, asmith8@iwu.edu
It’s summer time, so there may be summer activities that you’re participating in that you may want to share! August will be here before we know it, and with it the new school year.
I look forward to working with the class of 2014 to share your news with your classmates!
Thanks,
Amelia
