Thank You 2015 Donors!

THANK YOU to all of our fiscal year 2015 donors! Illinois Wesleyan University‘s alumni participation rate has increased for the third year in a row thanks to the generosity of donors like you! Your support helps to ensure IWU is stronger and more affordable for current and future generations of Titans. You’ve done well, and you’ve done good! Go Titans!

The class of 2012 exceeded the 24% challenge!  At least eight young alumni challenges were met in 2015, resulting in $20,000 of additional scholarship support for IWU students!

Erin Moran ’12

Since graduating IWU with a double major in psychology and international studies, Erin has taught English in Thailand and South Korea. She also worked in a high school in America with special education students, which prompted her to undertake her Masters of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis.

For the final two months of her Masters program Erin will be working with an organization called “The Step” in Eastern Kazakhstan. The Step was established by a group of mothers whose children have autism. The region has very few specialists and services for these children. She will be working directly with the children, as well as training the staff and parents in ABA methods. She will also be collaborating with one of her professors to write up research articles about her work there.

Stephen Rudnicki ’12 Selected as Coach and Teacher

Class of 2012 alumnus Stephen Rudnicki was recently selected as the boys basketball coach and a social studies teacher at West Carroll High School in Savanna, IL. Noting Stephen’s experience as a basketball player at both Evanston Township High School and our very own Illinois Wesleyan, the West Carroll Athletic Director arranged Stephen’s introduction to both the public and the media in June. Check out this article from the Rockford Register Star for additional information.

Congratulations to Stephen from the class of 2012!

Let’s Reach 24% Giving for the Class of 2012!

Young Alumni Challenge:  If our class reaches 24% participation, an additional gift of $2,500 will be made in honor of our class. Let’s move the Tommymometer to the top!

Without alumni support, IWU simply wouldn’t be the same.  Time is running out to make a difference this fiscal year.  Help to keep IWU moving forward and show your Titan Pride by making a gift before this Friday, July 31!

2015 Participation Goal: 5,286 Donors

Young alumni challenge:

  • A trustee has agreed to make a $2,500 gift for every young alumni classcorrect(1999-2014) who reaches 24% or better before July 31.
  • This means that for every class that hits 24%, IWU will be able to award an additional $2,500 scholarship to a deserving student.
  • Also, an additional $2,500 gift will be made for any class that reaches 30%.
  • All gifts count! Find out how your class stacks up by visiting https://www.iwu.edu/giving/youngalumni.html

ALL IN FOR WESLEYAN

Today is All in for Wesleyan 2015!  All gifts made today will be matched by an anonymous donor (up to $75,000).

And this year, there’s a twist.  Let me explain.

Gifts to the Wesleyan Fund support student financial assistance and also the little, but essential, things that create the Illinois Wesleyan experience.  So today we’re celebrating these little essentials — the unsung heroes.  Make a gift today and your name could appear next to one of these items for a limited time.*

Give today and your name could be selected to grace the hot spot, the WESN microphone, and other pieces of campus that will be announced throughout the day. (Learn more)

Give today and your gift will be matched by an anonymous donor.

Give today and show that you’re proud to be a Titan!

*Like annual gifts, naming rights expire at the end of the fiscal year…but internet photos last forever. Photos of the selected names engraved on plaques, affixed to the items will be published on the last day of spring semester, April 21.
