Erick Henderson ’12

The American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) has elected Erick Henderson ’12 of Southern College of Optometry (Memphis, TN) as its president. The American Optometric Student Association currently represents 6,700 students of optometry. Erick is the 49th student to serve as president of the AOSA. Henderson, from Danville, IL, is the 49th student to serve as president of the AOSA. Erick is a current student at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is the recipient of multiple scholarships and is active with OptometryStudents.com, the Student Society of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association. Erika Olsen ’12 Cameron Ohlendorf ’12

Class of 2012 alumni Erika (Olsen) Ohlendorf and Cameron Ohlendorf were married on October 3, 2015 at Evelyn Chapel in Bloomington, IL. A reception followed at Epiphany Farm. Several fellow Titan alumni were in attendance including parents, aunts, and cousins of the groom, the sister of the bride, and many Titan friends.

Matt Seidel ’12

Matt Seidel has been busy since our 2012 graduation as both a trombone teacher and performer in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area.  Following graduation, Matt got his M. M. from Southern Illinois University. Matt performed at the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, CO in the summer of 2015 and has since been performing with classical, jazz, funk, rock, salsa, and polka groups. Primary teachers for Matt include: Tom Streeter, Tim Pitchford, Chris Davis, Clint McCannless, and Jessica Butler. Join me in wishing Matt many years of continued success!

Carlee Nestelberger ’12

Class of 2012 alumna, Carlee Nestelberger, has been featured on both Fox News and the Chicago Tribune recently for her artistry through her company, AmazziRoots. Carlee has been featured as a part of Amazon’s new Handmade at Amazon program, where she is also a featured artist. Congratulations to Carlee! We’re proud to call you a fellow Titan!

Rachel Carreras ’12

Class of 2012 alumna, Rachel Carreras, will make her debut with the Mad Cow Theatre Company by starring as Ayah in “The Secret Garden.” The show will run from November 20-December 20 in Orlando, FL. You can purchase tickets or learn more about the production here.

Krista Felten ’12, Brian Piotrowski ’12

Fellow Class of 2012 alumni Krista Felten and Brian Piotrowski were married on August 1, 2015 in Hoffman Estates, IL. Many fellow Titans served in the bridal party, including: Kristen Piotrowski ’09, Megan Thompson ’12, Kevin Piotrowski ’15, Justin Eddington ’12, David Vaughan ’12, Logan Kent ’13, and Tommy Deschler ’12. Michael Sloboda ’12

Class of 2012 alumnus, Michael Sloboda, married fellow Titan Jennifer Boll Sloboda ’14 on July 25, 2015. Their bridal party included Hannah Smith ’14, Annie Gerard Meegan ’13, Jessica Taylor ’14, Dayton Burnett ’12, Michael Whittington ’12, Ryan Gresko ’12, and Bret Swango ’12. Mike Firth ’12

Fellow class of 2012 alumnus, Mike Firth, has joined Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa as the girls swimming and diving coach. Mike’s students credit him with uniting the team as a family and caring about them in terms of both academics and swimming.
