Kasey Evans ’12

I’ve recently accepted a position as the Harm Prevention Specialist for Alpha Gamma Delta International Women’s Fraternity in Indianapolis! Many of you know my passion for the fraternity and sorority experience. I am thrilled for this opportunity to work with an outstanding team in providing the best possible member experience for the women of Alpha Gam!

(For those unfamiliar with Fraternity/Sorority Life, I’m still a Kappa Delta, but I’ll be working with this great Panhellenic sister organization in their efforts.)

Caroline Rohloff ’12

Class of 2012 alumna, Caroline Rohloff, is cited as the co-author and key researcher of a major new policy report titled, “The New Ice Curtain: Russia’s Strategic Reach to the Arctic.” The report was released on August 27th by the Europe Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies                                (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. Caroline has been a research associate at CSIS since April 2014 and covers both the Arctic and Northern Europe portfolios.

Congratulations to Caroline for the release of this new report!

Max Briggs ’12

Class of 2012 and School of Music alumnus, Max Briggs, has had some recent career success when he was chosen as the winner of the Tuba Artist division of the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival. Known as a premier event for student and artist level euphonium performers, the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival cites student and artist level competition as an integral component of this Twin Lake, MI-based international event. Additional information about the festival can be found here.

Since graduation, Max has completed his Master’s of Music degree from Northwestern University and will soon begin work toward his Doctorate of Musical Arts at Northwestern. Max resides in Chicago and is maintaining an active freelance career and private studio.

Please join me in congratulating Max!

Emily Line ’12

Class of 2012 alumna, Emily Line, is returning to her Titan roots as a new staff member for Illinois Wesleyan! Emily has recently joined the staff as an IWU Admission Counselor. She has previously worked as an admissions advisor at Lake Superior State University and is a member of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling and the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Congratulations, Emily, and welcome back to IWU!

Thank You 2015 Donors!

THANK YOU to all of our fiscal year 2015 donors! Illinois Wesleyan University‘s alumni participation rate has increased for the third year in a row thanks to the generosity of donors like you! Your support helps to ensure IWU is stronger and more affordable for current and future generations of Titans. You’ve done well, and you’ve done good! Go Titans!

The class of 2012 exceeded the 24% challenge!  At least eight young alumni challenges were met in 2015, resulting in $20,000 of additional scholarship support for IWU students!

Erin Moran ’12

Since graduating IWU with a double major in psychology and international studies, Erin has taught English in Thailand and South Korea. She also worked in a high school in America with special education students, which prompted her to undertake her Masters of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis.

For the final two months of her Masters program Erin will be working with an organization called “The Step” in Eastern Kazakhstan. The Step was established by a group of mothers whose children have autism. The region has very few specialists and services for these children. She will be working directly with the children, as well as training the staff and parents in ABA methods. She will also be collaborating with one of her professors to write up research articles about her work there.

Stephen Rudnicki ’12 Selected as Coach and Teacher

Class of 2012 alumnus Stephen Rudnicki was recently selected as the boys basketball coach and a social studies teacher at West Carroll High School in Savanna, IL. Noting Stephen’s experience as a basketball player at both Evanston Township High School and our very own Illinois Wesleyan, the West Carroll Athletic Director arranged Stephen’s introduction to both the public and the media in June. Check out this article from the Rockford Register Star for additional information.

Congratulations to Stephen from the class of 2012!
