Class of 2012 and School of Music alumnus, Max Briggs, has had some recent career success when he was chosen as the winner of the Tuba Artist division of the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival. Known as a premier event for student and artist level euphonium performers, the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival cites student and artist level competition as an integral component of this Twin Lake, MI-based international event. Since graduation, Max has completed his Master’s of Music degree from Northwestern University and will soon begin work toward his Doctorate of Musical Arts at Northwestern. Max resides in Chicago and is maintaining an active freelance career and private studio.
