Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of associate Janelle N. Bailey to its Intellectual Property practice group. Based in the firm’s Kansas City office, Janelle guides in-house counsel, inventors and patent examiners in applying for and protecting U.S. and foreign patent applications. Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Janelle was in private practice at another Kansas City area firm. Before that, she served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, handling cases from indictment through post-conviction. Janelle earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and B.S. in physics from Illinois Wesleyan University. She is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Janelle is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and Jackson County Bar Association.

I graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law (Illinois Institute of Technology) with a JD in December 2012. I was on the Dean’s Honors List for 5 semesters there. As part of my studies, I also attended an ABA-approved summer program in International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland. I took the Illinois bar exam in February of 2013 and was sworn in as an attorney on May 9, 2013. I am also admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. I have been a practicing attorney with the law firm of Morrison & Mix in Chicago, IL since that date, and I was a legal assistant at the same firm from August of 2008 through my admission to the Illinois bar. My firm handles cases in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, divorce, child support and custody, adoption, real estate, personal injury, civil litigation and appeals, professional license defense, trademark and copyright law, corporate law, contract law, and probate guardianship and estate cases. I am also a member of the the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, the American Constitution Society, the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Active Transportation Alliance.

Nurman Noor ’08

Nurman Noor from Indonesia went on to the University of Wollengong and is now a Junior Medical Officer at the Northern Sydney Local Medical District. His hospital is in Hornsby. NSW in the Sydney area. He was quite active on campus and with I-Society. He had a knack for balancing things on his head.

Anthony Pavone ’08

Anthony Pavone has successfully graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago receiving his Juris Doctorate.

He passed the Illinois Bar this past February and is now practicing as an attorney with the law firm of Loss & Pavone in Lombard, Illinois. He is also pursuing an LLM (Masters of Law) in Estate Planning.
