Darcia Kunkel ’91 released both paperback and kindle versions of her debut book, 40-Something and Fried in April. With humor and honesty, Darcia documents the ups and downs of a 40-something mother of three, wife, author, and editor. A former military spouse, she writes on topics including motherhood, Christian inspiration, military spouse transition, practical cooking, and the struggles of perfectionism.

You can find this and more in the Spring 2017 edition of the Illinois Wesleyan University Magazine – the excerpt above was on page 32.

Darcia asked to share this on our class page as she has many ties to the Class of 1993!

Fox News Oscar Expert Tariq Khan was the top-scoring pundit predicting the Academy Award winners on the website Gold Derby. Khan tied for first place out of 30 of Hollywood’s best-known Oscar experts from major media outlets, including Entertainment Weekly, Fandango, Rolling Stone, USA Today and Vanity Fair. Unfortunately, his predictions failed to help his classmate Dean Jukovich win his office Oscar pool.
