We are saddened to announce the passing of William “Bill” Tweedell ’76. Bill passed away on May 4, 2017 of congestive heart failure.  Bill worked in accounting, most recently as Controller at Grand Products in Des Plaines, IL. He is survived by his wife (Cynthia Benn, class of 1976) and two grown children, Rebecca and Matthew (wife Karina).

Bradley Slocum ’75

We are sorry to announce that Bradley Slocum ’75 passed away in 2009. Brad Slocum ’75 was an amazing builder, not only of buildings, but of lives. He built homes and churches as close by as Rockford, and as far away as Trinidad & Tobago and St. Thomas, where he did missions work and hurricane relief. But his trophy was The George Washington Inn in Port Angeles, WA. It is a replica of Mt. Vernon. Check it out at georgewashingtoninn.com. Brad passed away at age 57 of cancer. At the time of his illness and death, he was a teacher of construction at Bob Jones University. This was his favorite job–teaching young men and women what he loved to do! As he worked with these college students, he taught them how to build buildings, but while doing so, he also encouraged them to build their lives for eternity.
