Jim Ridenour ’54 is halfway through three family reunions. The first, in Denver Colorado had all of the children of Hank and Ardy Charles all IWU grads or faculty, with 20 other family members there. The Chicago Cub game, however, was postponed because of hail!! One of our cousins flew in from Sweden for the affair.
The second will be in Chicago with about twenty there, including several of Carol Pettyjohn’s IWU ’56 kids in attendance. The third next month in Baltimore with all of our children, plus about 20 others. All three dates include Cub games, in celebration of the World Series win!
Jim and Doris will be visiting Mickey Drexler, ’48 (?)l Howard Berggren ’54, Helen Lacroix ’53, and Bill Jennings ’53, during these travels.

Jim: You are just as busy now as you were when you were on campus. I particularly pleased to see that these reunions are including taking in a Cub game! Does that include the Baltimore reunion? I’ve semi-retired after 65 years serving the United Methodist Church. Of course, most of those years were in Illinois but mandatory retirement caught up with me while serving Rock Island First Church. Since my wife and I were living in Bettendorf, Iowa at that time, the Iowa Conference kept me working for another 10 years and now we are serving three years in Colfax, In. while our daughter completes her Doctorate at Purdue. Obviously, I’m still trying to learn how to do it right! ! Share my greetings with Howie and Bill and any other Sigs you might see. Do you have any news regarding Brother Chuck Gaines? Sure good to hear from you.
