two items placed on the left hand side of the Apollo 11 exhibit case

A close up of two items currently on display in The Ames Library.

At top is a NASA photo of Aldrin stepping down from the LEM to the surface of the Moon. At bottom left of the exhibit case is the commemorative print of the Earth as seen from orbit and the signatures of Nixon and Blunt along with the first-day-of-issue commemorative stamp. Also visible on the print is a photo of an astronaut walking on the Moon that’s been inset into the image of the Earth.
