Thank-A-Giver Day

Thank-A-Giver Day (TAG Day) is on Monday, February 11. This day provides the IWU campus community with the opportunity to thank the donors who support Illinois Wesleyan. IWU celebrates each year in mid-February because it marks the symbolic point during the academic year – about 70% of the way through – when tuition dollars run out and support from alumni and friends, our endowment, and external grants kicks in for the remainder of the year.

Thank you to all donors who help make the IWU experience possible!

Megan Koch ’17 along with IWU alumna, Kate Tombaugh ’07

Megan Koch ’17 along with IWU alumna, Kate Tombaugh ’07, is currently in Fort Worth, Texas singing with the Fort Worth Opera. Small world indeed.
Megan is currently wrapping up her 1st year as a Masters student at the University of North Texas, and both she and Kate had the distinct honor of singing in Fort Worth’s ‘Frontiers’ showcase Thursday, May 3rd at Bass Performance Hall at 7:30 PM. Megan sang excerpts as ‘Mabel’ in “Mabel’s Call,” a new opera by composer-librettist Nell Shaw Cohen, and Kate sang excerpts as ‘The Dough’ in “Companionship” by Rachel Peters and ‘Clara Ford’ in “Fordlandia” by composer William Susman and librettist Stuart Rojstaczer. It was a tremendous showcase for these great new works! Opera is alive and thriving!
