News from March

Here is a summary of what has happened at IWU from the month of March, told by pictures.

Students stayed on their feet for 12 hours and raised more than $7,700 for the Children’s Hospital of Illinois during the Dance Marathon. Even though it was her third year to participate, Valerie Voce ’16 told the Pantagraph newspaper that the Dance Marathon is the “best 12 hours you never want to do again.”

One wheelbarrow at a time, Tung Nguyen ’17, Selena Greising ’16 (far left) and 18 other students moved 30 tons of gravel at an Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity site in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, through Alternative Spring Break.

Nia Joiner ’16 (top row center, holding top of trophy) set a new Division III record in winning the 60 meter dash and the IWU women’s team earned a second place finish at the 2016 NCAA Division III National Indoor Track and Field Championships.
