Earl and Marian A. Beling Professor of Natural Sciences Tian-Xiao He and one of his students, Tung Nguyen ’15, published “Construction of spline type orthogonal scaling functions and wavelets,” Journal of Applied Functional Analysis, 10 (2015), No. 3-4, 189-203.

Nguyen has been awarded a full scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to pursue a Ph.D. in mathematics.
