Laura Hones ’13

Here is a bit of news about a member of our class, Laura Hones ’13.

Laura was hired for the SAGA Fellowship program in Chicago.  The SAGA Fellowship program is a full-time, in-school professional math tutoring opportunity which serves students in Chicago Public Schools for one year. SAGA tutoring happens during a stand-alone class period and is built into the school day schedule.  Each Fellow is assigned a personal caseload of 14 students and works with the same students everyday in small groups as well as communicates with their parents weekly.

Here is a link with more information about the program, which is “dedicated to transforming American public education” (http://www.sagainnovations.org/).

Congratulations, Laura on your work and dedication. Best of luck to you!

Thank You 2015 Donors!

THANK YOU to all of our fiscal year 2015 donors! Illinois Wesleyan University‘s alumni participation rate has increased for the third year in a row thanks to the generosity of donors like you! Your support helps to ensure IWU is stronger and more affordable for current and future generations of Titans. You’ve done well, and you’ve done good! Go Titans!

The class of 2013 exceeded the 24% challenge!  At least eight young alumni challenges were met in 2015, resulting in $20,000 of additional scholarship support for IWU students!
