Kristen Gattuso ’12 and Scott Wenzel ’12 were married June 16, 2018, in Libertyville, Illinois with many IWU alums attending.

Dr. Jaclynn Sullivan ’12 finished her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology in May. Jaclynn will be a full time faculty member at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa starting in the fall.

Kate ’12 and Eric ’10 Abens welcomed their son, Finn, on January 4, 2018. The Abens family currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.

Ian Coulter-Buford ’12 will be starring as Tap Brother in the Broadway “tour” of After Midnight on the Norwegian Escape, directed/choreographed by TONY Award Winner Warren Carlyle, through February 2018.

Earlier this year, Ian released his debut EP, LIVE 4 NOW, available on all music platforms. The album is accompanied by a music visual filmed in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Homecoming is only a few days away! Are you planning to attend? Below are important details that will help you make the most out of your weekend back in Bloomington.

Class of 2012 Reunion
On Friday night, from 4:00-5:30 p.m., there will be a reception at President Jensen’s house that will include beer, wine, and hors-d’oeuvres for those celebrating class reunion years. Then, we’ll meet at Flinger’s (1503 E. Vernon Ave.) at 8:00 p.m. for pizza, beer and socializing.

On Saturday, the kickoff for the homecoming football game is at 1:00 p.m. Our class will meet in the Shirk parking lot for a 5 Year Reunion Tailgate. Hot dogs and chips will be provided, but please BYOB and a dish to share, if you can!

Later that night, we’ll all meet at Club Tommy in the Young Main Lounge. $20 = unlimited beer, wine, hors-d’oeuvres, a photo booth and DJ. Afterwards, we’ll head to Fat Jacks for more chances to socialize and reconnect!

Honoring Our Alumni
As IWU celebrates Titans Around the World at Homecoming this weekend, we will also honor our alumni who served worldwide as veterans and first-responders, including Captain Ryan A. Beaupre ’95. We will remember Ryan and all veterans and first-responders who have given their lives in the service of others and our country. Presenting the colors will be American Legion Color Guard Post 635 Normal and Post 56 from Bloomington. The ceremony will take place this Saturday, October 14^th at 12:45 p.m., prior to the Homecoming Football game at Tucci Stadium and will include the National Anthem sung by Wayne Messmer ’72.  Classmates and friends can view the ceremony on streaming video live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/iwu/.
