Kristen (Hosack) Pace earned her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in May of 2014.  She graduated summa cum laude, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and received a Rickert Award for Excellence in Academics.  Kristen is currently an associate at Schiff Hardin LLP, in Chicago, IL.

Kristen married Jason Pace on August 9, 2014, in Bloomington, IL.

Carolyn Zimmer (Leonard) ’11 and Jordan Zimmer (’12) welcomed their son, Samuel Douglas Zimmer, on April 1, 2015.  Congratulations to the Leonard and Zimmer families as they celebrate this wonderful gift!

Taylor Gregurich ’11 married Shane McCafferty on March 14, 2015 in Morton, Illinois.

Rhiannon Steffen ’11 and Adam Law ’11 married in August 2014. They live in Indianapolis, IN and Adam graduated from University of Illinois College of Law in May 2014. He is now an Attorney at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP.

I would like to announce that David Bueche and I, Samantha Kopas were married on November 2nd 2013. Our best man was another IWU alum, Kyle Sloan (Class of 2011), and Amy Orlik (Class of 2011) was one of our bridesmaids. We had several alumni with us at the ceremony and I’ve attached a photo of all of us at the reception.

I wish to announce that fellow alumni David Bueche ’11 and I are engaged to be married on November 2nd of this year.

Jordan Zimmer (Class of ’12) and I got married in August of 2012.  Since we have gotten our pictures back, we have had many requests that we send in the classic “IWU picture” that was taken for the magazine.  We had over 60 IWU alumni/students in attendance from Class of 1985 to the Class of 2013.

Jacob Anderson ’10 and Melaine (Arends) Anderson ’11 welcomed a baby girl, Olivia Lane, on February 17th, 2012.

Jacob Anderson ’10 married Melanie (Arends) Anderson ’11 on August 7th, 2010 in Mahomet IL. Many IWU alumni friends joined in the celebration.

Julie married Ted Gernand, a non-alum, in Orland Park, Ill., on July 28. She looked lovely and it was a special day.
