Newly minted doctor Christopher Miedema ’10 will begin an emergency medicine residency at SIU School of Medicine.

“Dr. Christopher Miedema, who will begin an emergency medicine residency at SIU School of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals in Springfield. He is the son of Paul and Imelda Miedema of Springfield. He graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 2006 and Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington in 2010.”

 Senior Web Developer Michael Gorman is attending the OmniUpdate User Training Conference, March 10-13. He will lead two sessions, “One Programmer and a Full Site Redesign,” and a taped session, “Benefits of XSL,” for use on the OmniUpdate corporate website.

Dana Zapata has recently been working on a magazine for the arts called The Pass In Review.  It is a quarterly magazine for military veterans that focuses on helping veterans to be understood in the civilian community.  Today, we published our inaugural issue. It is very exciting!

Kyle Urquhart ’10

Kyle Urquhart is excited to announce that he has recently accepted a position with Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival as their Operations and Production Manager located in the heart of the Berkshires in Massachusetts. Jacob’s Pillow Dance is lauded worldwide as a “hub and mecca of dancing” (TIME Magazine), “one of America’s most precious cultural assets” (Mikhail Baryshnikov), and “the dance center of the nation” (The New York Times). “The Pillow” is a treasured 220-acre National Historic Landmark, a recipient of the prestigious National Medal of Arts, and home to America’s longest-running international dance festival.
