Memories and Homecoming

There is less than 1 month until Homecoming 2017! While counting down the days until we are all back on campus, let’s reminisce about the time spent at IWU. Would anyone like to share their favorite IWU memories? Comment below.

If you are still deciding on which events you want to attend during Homecoming, the International RSO Fair is highly recommended. It will be on Saturday (10/14) at the Hansen Student Center, Center Court from 11 am – 1 pm. Come learn more about our multicultural registered student organizations and enjoy activities and musical performances.   • “Club Tommy” Saturday, 6-9pm (Cost: $20) – Young Main Lounge in the Memorial Center
  • Back to College Classes Friday and Saturday – The Ames Library, Beckman Auditorium
  • Family Fun on the Quad Saturday 8:30-11 – Eckley Quadrangle
  • Titan Tailgate Featuring Local Food Trucks Saturday 10AM-1PM – Shirk Center Parking Lot

Laurie Diekhoff departed from IWU after 10 years at the Hart Career Center. She told her colleagues, “I spent 10 great years at the Career Center, enjoying my work, my colleagues, and the many relationships I have made on campus and in the community as a result of this position. Assisting students with their career development plans, helping employers fulfill their hiring needs, developing new programs, and contributing to the ongoing success of the Hart Career Center has been quite rewarding!”

John Arnold ’09

John Arnold ’09 was recently hired by the Latin American Association to lead two new offices in Athens and Lawrenceville, GA. The Latin American Association is a non-profit organization which provides immigration legal services to low income individuals. John, who is an immigration attorney, will be assisting clients with filing for DACA, naturalization, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, and variety of other immigration services.
