Bridget Wall ’08 received her doctorate in biological engineering from MIT this past June. Her doctoral thesis, entitled “Engineered tools for studying the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum” focused on using biological engineering techniques to learn more about the pathology of the malaria parasite. She moved back to her home state of Minnesota soon after, and spent the summer consulting for Life Science Alley. She started work this fall with Medtronic as a Scientific Communications Specialist within the Aortic/Peripheral Vascular/EndoVenous division. She is responsible for dissemination of clinical trial results for products like drug-coated angioplasty balloons, stents, and other related surgical devices.
