Ashley Samsa ’06 published “Enough with the teacher bashing. It’s not helping students or anyone else,” in The Guardian on July 11.

On May 20  Illinois Wesleyan University alumna Kathy Young decided it was time to take cover when a tornado raged through her home town of Moore, Oklahoma.  When the rumble subsided, they peeked out and learned they had been spared. About a mile south of their street, others were not so fortunate. The National Weather Service later classified the storm as a top-of-the-scale EF5.
