In response to the first executive order on immigration in January, alumna Vera (Leopold) Miller ’05 organized a card-writing campaign so every international student currently enrolled at IWU — all 161 of them — felt supported and encouraged. Miller, her husband David ’05 and several alumni friends gathered to write cards in her home (bottom, right), while nearly 20 other alums wrote from their residences. “The attention and support from this letter really assured me that I am warmly welcomed and appreciated here at IWU,” said Linh Le ’19, a native of Hanoi, Vietnam. “I feel connected to [writer Kat Garibaldi ’05] through her writing about her personal experiences with IWU and her aspirations, even though we have never met.”

Hey, Class of 2005! Are You All In?

Tomorrow is the big day! IWU’s annual “All in for Wesleyan” campaign is back, and there are some fantastic matching opportunities afoot.

Stay tuned (get it?) to your email and IWU’s Facebook and Twitter to get updates and instructions so that you can make the most of your donation.

More than a few of our former professors would take this opportunity to make a “turn on, tune in, drop out” joke here, but we’re all too young for that, right? 😉

Titans Forever!

Thank a Giver Day 2017

Today students, faculty, and staff across campus are celebrating donors and the impact they have on campus.

Thank A Giver Day marks the symbolic point during the year — about 70% of the way though — when tuition dollars run out and the University relies on the generosity of donors, the endowment, and external grants for the remainder of the year.

I couldn’t be more grateful to the donors who made my four years at IWU possible, and in that tradition, I am now honored to give to the next generation of Titans each year. Donor dollars helped to pay for those early 2000s Macs in Buck, soundproofing for the smelly basement practice rooms in Presser, and those lounges in Ames where I took many a nap. Share how your IWU experience was impacted by donors using #IWUThanks

Donor support allows IWU students to continue to have experiences that make being a Titan unique and transformative. To be among those celebrated today, make a gift at www.iwu.edu/give.

If you have already made a gift this year, thank you!
