Emeritus Associate Professor of Economics Robert (Bob) Leekley

Emeritus Associate Professor of Economics Robert (Bob) Leekley passed away on Tuesday, Jan.1. Prof. Leekley started teaching at Illinois Wesleyan in 1974, and from his first year to his 44th, his commitment to IWU and our students remained unchanged. His positive impact on generations of students and colleagues will not be forgotten. Read an obituary. A service will be held in the IWU Evelyn Chapel from 11-12 on Wednesday, January 9th.

Patrick Spangler ’03

Patrick W. Spangler ’03 was appointed to the Board of Senior Editors of BNA Bloomberg’s Employee Benefits Law, the leading legal treatise on the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”).

Mr. Spangler is a 2003 graduate of IWU with a degree in economics, and a 2006 graduate with high honorsfrom IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law. He is a senior associate at Vedder Price P.C. in Chicago, where he practices labor, employment, and benefits law.

Randall Green ’03

Hello, I have a couple of announcements.

First, I was recently named shareholder at Meyer Capel, a Professional Corporation, which is a law firm with locations in Champaign and which recently has opened an office in Bloomington.  I focus my practice in business and real estate transactions.
Second, my wife Theresa Green (formerly Dietz) ’05 and I had a daughter on April 15, 2012.  Her name is Adelyn Mae Green.
