Kimberly M. (Hammond) Beckstrom ’01

Hello IWU family!
I thought I would pass on some updates as it has been a while since I have shared anything.

It’s been an exciting year professionally!  I continue to work for Mayo Clinic, where I have been since graduation from the IWU School of Nursing in 2001.  In April 2020, I was named the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Nurse Practitioner Program Primary Care Preceptor of the Year.   In keeping with my commitment to advancing Nurse Practitioner Education, I was also promoted to Assistant Program Director for the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Nurse Practitioner Program, supporting primary care and women’s health in October 2020.

I truly believe that my interest in nursing education was sparked during my time at IWU; surrounded by so many brilliant and passionate nurse educators definitely rubbed off!

Kindest regards,

Kim
