Anne Rehagen ’01

Hello/Bula, Class of 2001!

Rehagen '01 and her family

Fiji is a beautiful island located somewhere in the South Pacific. It’s commonly characterized by lush vegetation, clear blue waters and warm weather. When you hear the word Fiji, you might picture sandy beaches, water sports and authentic island cuisine. Maybe you just think of bottled water. All thoughts of vacations and artesian water aside, what’s it like to build a life in Fiji?

Anne Rehagen ‘01 has an answer: exciting! An employee of UN Women, Anne lives and works in Suva, Fiji. Anne “coordinates inter-agency work on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in the Pacific region”.

Aside from her profession, she and her husband Peter Emberson, have been occupied caring for a recent addition to their family.

In April 2013, their daughter introduced herself to the world! Since birth, Anne says Moira Ana has been “growing fast”.

The happy family have been living in Suva for quite some time now. If you plan on visiting Fiji anytime soon, Anne “would love to host”!
