Jeffrey Becker ’01

Billboard Magazine has named Jeff Becker to its 2019 Top Music Lawyers list. This list honors prominent music attorneys from around the country. Becker is the only Chicago attorney and one of three in the Midwest named to this year’s list. Billboard recognized Mr. Becker for his representation of Chicago artists Valee (for whom Mr. Becker helped ink his recording agreement with GOOD Music/Def Jam) and Chance the Rapper (for whom Mr. Becker secured multiple injunctions to remove counterfeit merchandise from the streets surrounding his concerts).

Matthew Glavin ’01

Matthew Glavin ’01, previously the national director of Government and Regulatory Affairs for American Water, has joined the Cozen O’Connor law firm as counsel and principal of its Public Strategies Group.

“I chose Cozen O’Connor because of its stellar reputation within the legal community and its recognition of just how important the intersection between law and government affairs is,” Glavin says. “The firm’s commitment to public strategies rivals any firm in the nation and I’m both honored and excited to part of that.”
