As a part of the Hart Career Center’s Titan Career Chat series, Matthew Roberts ’01, MPH, DrPH discussed his role as a public health official fighting communicable disease outbreaks, preparing for and responding to public health emergencies, developing informatics capacity at health departments and in healthcare, and leading the assessment of Medicaid healthcare programs in New York. He provided context for the coronavirus pandemic, how health departments and healthcare systems respond, and what this means for the future.

Emeritus Associate Professor of Economics Robert (Bob) Leekley
Emeritus Associate Professor of Economics Robert (Bob) Leekley passed away on Tuesday, Jan.1. Prof. Leekley started teaching at Illinois Wesleyan in 1974, and from his first year to his 44th, his commitment to IWU and our students remained unchanged. His positive impact on generations of students and colleagues will not be forgotten. Read an obituary. A service will be held in the IWU Evelyn Chapel from 11-12 on Wednesday, January 9th.

Therapy program and will be starting the program in June of 2015.
Becky (Stenning) Pearl ’01 New Coaching Position
Judson University Head Softball Coach Becky (Stenning) Pearl has announced that she has accepted the position of Head Softball Coach at NCAA Division II Lewis University effective August 4. Pearl has coached at Judson for 10 seasons and is the program’s all-time winning-est coach with 250 wins.
