Jennifer Van Dyke Ittner ’99 married John Ittner on April 30, 2016. The wedding was held in Sonoma Wine Country with few IWU Alum in attendance. A larger reception was held in Chicago in May with many more IWU alum.

Hi everyone. Hope you’ll all make it down for Homecoming. I’m thinking about showing up early on Saturday 10/10 and running the 5k. Can’t stick around long though, I’ve got to coach my oldest daughter’s soccer game.

• Anthony Algmin ’99 became the first Chief Data Officer for the Chicago Transit Authority
• Kristine Jacobs Whiteaker ’99 and John recently welcomed their newborn Maya Faye Whiteaker: “She was born on June 8, 2015. She weighed 8lbs., 12oz. and was 21 inches long. Her big brother, Sean, adores her and loves to help us care for Maya.”
• Ethan Schrum ’99 began a position as assistant professor of history at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles in the 2014-15 academic year. Ethan and his wife Kara also welcomed their first child, Bartholomew Augustine Schrum on 7/18/14.
• Ryan Mellske ’99 studied international law at Duke and now practices international arbitration in Washington DC. In May 2014 Ryan joined the Washington, DC office of Three Crowns LLP, a new law firm dedicated to the resolution of international disputes. Ryan also teaches as an adjunct professor at Duke University School of Law.

• Amanda (Sebolt) Hjerpe ’99 and Erik Hjerpe had a baby girl, Anja Elyse, on June 27, 2013.
• Crea Fusco ’99 had twin boys, Leo and Ford, on June 29!
• Ethan Karolczak has joined Mundelein High School as a social studies teacher.
• Rick Lindquist ’99 (hey, who, me?) was promoted to Instructional Technologist at Illinois Wesleyan on Aug. 1. Rick has worked in Information Technology Services in various roles since 2000. He replaces the former Instructional Technologist, Patrick McLane, who retired in May.
• Jason Spoor-Harvey was interviewed for an article with the Daily Herald discussing his work as a social studies teacher covering 9/11 as a historical event.

• Ethan and Karen Karolczak welcomed their son Brian Andrew on October 25, 2013
• Christy Tucker and David Pleet announced the birth of Emilia Isabel, born 5/2/13
• Crea Fusco now has an MD from Rush University Medical School, and is expecting twins late June 2014 with spouse Gena Hendrix Fusco
• Director of Alumni Relations Ann Harding has retired from Illinois Wesleyan. Ann started working in the Career Center in 1988.
