Hi Class of ’98 friends. Hoping this post finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe. It’s hard to believe we’ve been sheltering-in-place since mid-March. If you’d like to share any updates or news, we’d love to hear from you!

Class of 1998 – 20th Reunion Invitation from Jennifer Shaughnessy ’98 and Tony Gray ’98

Can you believe it’s been 20 years since we graduated from IWU? We invite you back to campus this October 5-7th for Reunion Weekend where we will celebrate the class of 1998. Join us for special 20th reunion activities on Friday afternoon, a special reunion tailgate on Saturday and our reunion celebration on Saturday evening. Homecoming 2017

Don’t forget – Homecoming 2017 is this weekend!

If you are still deciding on which events you want to attend during Homecoming, the International RSO Fair is highly recommended. It will be on Saturday (10/14) at the Hansen Student Center, Center Court from 11 am – 1 pm. Come learn more about our multicultural registered student organizations and enjoy activities and musical performances. Dana Smith ’98

Dana Smith ’98 has been named superintendent of Flossmoor, Ill., School District 161. Dana is currently the assistant superintendent for early childhood and elementary education in Woodstock Community Unit School District 200, where he is responsible for elementary curriculum and instruction at the district’s seven elementary schools. He began his career in education as a classroom teacher in third through sixth grades. He has also been an assistant principal, principal, and directior of teaching and learning. An education major at IWU, he holds a master’s in educational leadership and administration from North Central College and a doctorate of education from DePaul University.
