Not only is today a day for giving, it’s a day to celebrate IWU and all of the things that make it special.  Last year, our class had an impressive 15 donors, and we contributed $2,120. Justin Ahrens ’94

For the fourth year, 1994 alum Justin Ahrens’ event, Wheels4Water, rode their bikes in an effort to raise awareness and money for water projects in rural Uganda. In the fall of 2017, the team rode across the United States to help Ugandans get safe water for life. The goal was to ride across the US in 10 days to reach 10,000 people. Following three years of immensely successful Wheels4Water rides, in 2017, Justin and his team wanted to make a bigger impact than ever before. Their goal for this adventure? Raise $200,000 and bring the total number of people who gain access to safe water through W4W to 10,000. A big dream? Yes. A worthy one? Absolutely. In the end, the four year total was over $430,000 serving well over 10,000! In fact, it’s still growing. For more check out their site: wheels4water.org.
