Justin Ahrens ’94

Justin Ahrens ’94, a member of the Illinois Wesleyan University Class of 1994, has joined O’N Creative as their new Chief Creative Officer. After 24 years as the founder of Rule29, a strategic brand agency, Justin brings his expertise in championing the “Making Creative Matter®” philosophy to his new role. At Rule29, Justin led the agency to national and international recognition and achieved certification as a B Corporation®, combining purpose and profit to drive positive change. Now, as Chief Creative Officer at O’N Creative, Justin will focus on enhancing impact in branding by creating meaningful interactions between brands, consumers, and purpose. O’N Creative specializes in strategy, brand marketing, AI Integration, and working with impact-driven companies in sectors such as Healthcare, Education, and Non-Profit, navigating the complexities of engagement in a crowded messaging environment. In addition to his new role, Justin is also the founder and creative strategist for (Re)Genesis, a consulting firm he founded with his wife Sarah Ahrens ’96, also an IWU alum. (Re)Genesis helps purpose-driven organizations connect, grow, and thrive through business and leadership consulting, with a focus on AI strategy and integration. Congratulations Justin!

Rachel (Palencia) Harper ’94

Rachel (Palencia) Harper ’94 is the associate director of the Honors College and coordinator of the Honors Humanities Sequence at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Employed by the university for 18 years, Rachel also added the title of associate teaching professor, in MU’s English department, in December 2021. She was recognized in the student publication The Maneater, in a story during Women’s History Month in April 2022, highlighting “Five women making a difference at MU.”

John Huber ’94

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that John Huber has joined the firm as its chief financial officer. In his role as CFO, Huber will provide executive leadership and direction for the firm’s financial operations and asset management. He will be based in Brownstein’s Denver office and serve as a member of the firm’s Business Leadership Team.

Patrick Moore ’94

Patrick Moore was promoted by the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers to the position of assistant director of college scouting in May 2021. Patrick spent the prior three seasons as a college scout for the Packers. He’s also previously served as a scout for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, and an assistant coach at Fordham University, Louisiana Tech University, Auburn University, Western Carolina University and Illinois Wesleyan.
