Justin Ahrens ’94, co-founder of the renowned creative agency Rule29, has returned to lead the firm in an exciting new chapter. Known for its mission to “Make Creative Matter,” Rule29 has earned national recognition for its award-winning campaigns and socially responsible design. After stepping away in early 2024 to establish O’N Creative with long-time client O’Neil Printing, Ahrens played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s creative services and fostering a 24-year partnership between the two organizations. This collaboration recently culminated in O’Neil Printing and Ahrens acquiring Rule29 and integrating O’N Creative into its operations. Now, as Chief Creative Officer of Rule29, Ahrens combines his leadership in purpose-driven design with O’Neil’s century-long production expertise, creating a seamless blend of creativity, strategy, and execution to drive meaningful impact for clients.
