The class of ’92 congratulates classmate Erich Wilhelm Zander! Erich started the new year by accepting the manager position of the Bullseye Glass Resource Center in Los Angeles. Best of luck, Erich, in your new endeavors!
Read below for a current update from Erich – find out what he has been up to:
“In July of 2014 I sold my commercial casting business, 310 Casting Studios, which I had started with my late wife, Casting Director Melissa Martin in 2006. We were always seeing IWU alums who are actors auditioning for commercials in LA, such as David Pires, John Kaisner, and others.
I then invested in a new company The People Network with whom I had been developing a software suite used in Casting. I spent the better part of last year working on that project before looking for another opportunity while that one comes to fruition.
Having been familiar with Bullseye Glass through the work of my friend and former Professor Kevin Strandberg, I jumped at the chance of opening a Bullseye Glass Resource Center in South Pasadena near my home. We are the industry leading manufacturers of Art Glass and pioneers in the medium of Kiln Formed Glass.
Each Resource Center will have classes, studio rental, and supplies for working with glass as Art, Architectural element or Hobby. Additionally we will have a gallery space next door. We will be opening in March 2016.
Stop by when you are in LA.”
