  1. Thanks so much!!!! I am honored!!!!
This is the third Prairie Fire Theater Children’s production I have done the properties for and I have done the set dressing for three other of their productions: “Fertile Ground” an operetta written by Nancy Steele Brokaw ’71 and composed by David Vayho, Professor of Composition at IWU, ” HMS Pinafore”, and ” A Little Night Music”. I have also assisted in set dressing for a number of IWU’s Opera Departments productions and am member of the Holiday Spectacular Production team where I have been responsible for the set dressings for the last 5 productions.
Starting at my son’s high school here in town at Central Catholic, I volunteered to help with the costumes and set decoration. (mainly the props) and I was hooked and helped with three productions, ‘Hello Dolly”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Oliver” .
I have Nancy to thank for helping me get involved locally with the first large production which was “Lincoln’s In Town” a Holiday Spectacular Production written by Nancy and Robert C. Bray about Abraham Lincoln’s sojourns in Bloomington, Illinois. This was a tremendous experience working with local actors and ISU’s Lori Adams as the director. I met Robert Mangialardi from the IWU opera department through Nancy and that was my introduction to opera and the wonderful talents of the students at IWU. I almost transferred from Art into the theater department to work on set design, but didn’t as I was a second semester junior at the time and had just transferred to IWU.
I have an art studio downtown called “Studio B” where I create collages of torn paper, vintage and antique jewelry and found objects.
My husband , Bruce has been a huge support as have our two children, Margaret and Eddie.
