Theatre Day Camp for rising 6th, 7th 8th, and 9th graders
9 am- 3:30 pm every day with lunches in the IWU Dining Commons, included in tuition.

Under the Direction of Rhys Lovell and the IWU School of Theatre Arts Faculty, this exciting summer experience for students entering 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade includes activities for young performers, as well as students who also want to explore the technical and other artistic aspects of theater.
In addition to rehearsing the camp production, students work with IWU faculty and guest artists on:
lighting design scene design stage combat
acting and more!
Students who are excited about the behind-the-scenes activities of a production will enjoy working on important elements in theater (lighting, scene painting, sound, etc).
those include designing art for the printed program or a solo performance, the activities of the theatre camp will engage all students. Students will enjoy a small class size and 6:1 student/teacher ratio. The two weeks are quite busy with getting the production ready for the performance on the last day as well as incorporating several sessions led by guest artists.
Parents will have the opportunity to meet with the director during check-in on the first day. Families and friends are invited to the performance and post-performance reception on the afternoon of the last day.
