Young Artists in Theatre at IWU! Two weeks of theatre exploration, rehearsals and performance under the direction of Heartland Theater Artistic Director and IWU alum, Rhys Lovell.

IMG_4010With the additional guidance of IWU faculty and Illinois Wesleyan School of Theatre Arts students, our enthusiastic  groups put together wonderful productions both years –   Disney’s Jungle Book Kids in 2015,  and Aristocats Kids  summer of 2016 – both amazing shows, up and running in just 2 weeks! Days were filled with  learning and rehearsing music, dialog, and choreography.  Kids also participated in workshops in stage craft  and learned about different aspects of theatre arts (sets, special effects makeup, stage combat, etc).  These talented kids were a very busy bunch and performed their amazing shows to extremely full houses.
