The male a cappella group, Suspended, was established in 2002 at Illinois Wesleyan University It is entirely student-run and managed. Suspended maintains an active rehearsal and performance schedule throughout the year. They continue to be in demand to perform at local venues and at alumni and school-sponsored activities.

In 2007, the group was chosen to represent Bloomington by visiting the Bloomington-Normal sister city- Asaikawa, Japan.

Every year, Suspended tours several Chicago-area high schools in hopes of inspiring high school age students to continue singing and considering a cappella in their post-high school career.
