, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, has been reading his way through the two-volume Library of America Collected Stories, but decided to take a detour this week and read and respond to the recently published volume of Updike’s Selected Poems. This post he reads and briefly comments on “Ex-Basketball Player,” “Seven Stanzas at Easter,” and “Fever.”
